Frankfurter Medizin Sommerschule 2026

It was fun teaching biochemistry to our medical students preparing for their first state examination. The beautiful setting in the Alps (and Haus Bergkranz 💚 ) make our summer school a very special course. It is always a pleasure to work with such a motivated group of students alongside fantastic colleagues from Institute of Biochemistry II (IBC2) and the physiology and anatomy departments of Goethe University Frankfurt.

A special thank you to Prof. Birgit Zirn for joining us and sharing her inspiring career path, which has now brought her to Universitätsmedizin Frankfurt as the founding director of the Dr. Senckenbergisches Institut für Humangenetik. Her enthusiasm for combining research and patient care was truly inspiring for the students.

Thanks to everyone who made this year's summer school another memorable experience. I'm already looking forward to 2027!
