Nazife Tolay

Nazife studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at Istanbul University in Turkey, and she received her master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Bioengineering at Sabanci University in Turkey. She completed her PhD at the Julius Maximilian University of Wuerzburg, where she focused on understanding how the ubiquitin system regulates stress granule turnover. In May 2024, she joined the group of Anja Bremm as a postdoctoral researcher. Her postdoctoral work focuses on the modulation of the oxidative stress response of non-small cell lung cancers in a ubiquitin system-dependent manner.
